I will update my review as the weeks go by to see how it holds up, but so far so good. It actually makes driving a little bit more enjoyable.

Other than that, it’s awesome. I was pretty happy with this mount.

One thing, the vent mount doesn’t hold very tight on my car, so that I don’t feel comfortable using it. Maybe it’s my particular type of vent (it’s an old, old car), or maybe I’m not installing it right. My only gripe with this is the ratcheting mechanism – it feels like it could easily break if the release button isn’t pressed straight in. There was one instance where I stored it in the glove box and accidentally closed it too quickly.

I wanted something that would hold my Droid, which has the hard case around it. This works great.

The holster part holds the phone great given the rubberized product. The window mount is strong and has not fallen off yet. I’d give it more stars if the “clip” construction was better quality. I purchased this mount for my iPhone before a trip and was very pleased with it.

I needed something for my iPod classic that would be able to keep it still in the car. Like other reviewers have said, the mount has a lot of lateral movement when clipped in to the vent of my Mazda3, but I think some thin foam rubber wrapped around the louver of the vent to give it more bulk and grip will resolve that easily so I’m going to pick some up from the craft store and try that. I’m also going to try mounting it very low on my windshield (rather than up by the mirror where it was very intrusive) using the suction cup to see which I prefer.

The mount had Pros in my book for all the important things, and had Cons for the less important things. I must say, I’m quite happy with this product. I originally bought a cheap car mount for my phone that broke within a few days, so I didn’t have very high expectations for this product. Boy was I wrong. This worked well for several months, but when I went to move it to a different vehicle, the vent mount clips had stretched out and would no longer hold in the new vehicle or back in the old one. These are small parts that could easily be replaced, but there is no contact info for the seller. I use the suction cup I don’t really see why I would use the vent one although now that I think of it on the driver side vent it might be a good idea. I also don’t use the little stick on thing for the suction cup because I have a window and it sucks onto that SO WELL!

I also went to their facility in Altadena and picked up a motorcycle mount which works amazingly well. I use my Droid X with Google Maps for Navigation on the bike and with the motorcycle mount strap; I have no concerns of my phone leaving me. I won’t have to buy a new holder for next/new phone. Cons: The adjustable arms are released with a push button/stick that is spring loaded.

Great purchase for the money! Used Bass Guitar.
